I’m Alexa West—a Southeast Asia travel expert, bestselling author of The Solo Girl’s Travel Guide, and founder of the Solo Girls Travel Academy. I’ve been living in and exploring Asia for over a decade.

Fun fact? I originally moved to Vietnam for “just” three months to study the country and write this book… and then I came back about ten more times.

     I’ll be heading to Vietnam next month and she gave me many ideas as I have planned my trip around many of the areas she suggested. She explains the places by their energy, not necessarily how much she liked them. I’ve learned that the advice you get from others and their travels depends on the type of trip/fun THEY like to have. She is pretty straight forward which I respect. I also read her book on Thailand and took much of her advice and had a great trip.
