  • Useful for Me!

I love Mexico and have been to several cities and beach towns of Mexico. I haven’t visited Mexico City yet, so this book is useful for me to help plan a trip there! Especially as a female traveler I’m always making sure areas I’m visiting are safe for me. I find the book very useful!

Best local guidebook from someone just like you!
I LOVE this guidebook, and cant wait to go back to Mexico city to use it. I love that it is written by two women, both solo female travelers, and one who is local to the region. Instead of being written by a big company , or a blog by a couple who has only been there once and has decided all the “must do” places based on one week of travel, this book is written by someone just like you and me (assuming you are a 20/30/40 year old woman who loves to travel) who has been to Mexico City countless numbers of time and has a locals knowledge of the area. The recommendations are top notch (some of the restaurants I have already been to and LOVED, and the rest I cant wait to try next trip!) I love how it is organized by neighborhood, then by what type or price of food you are looking for, and also has things to do. Added bonus there is a map for each neighborhood that makes everything much easier to understand. There are a lot of little details that you wont find in other travel books (where to buy condoms and what plan B is called in other countries lol) … So helpful! I love this book and now I cant wait to be back in Mexico City to check every single one of these restaurants off my list!

    Travel Solo With Confidence!
This guide is all you need to explore Mexico City safely and confidently as a solo female traveler. Alexa’s best friend/co author, Emilia is a citizen of the world raised in Mazatlan, Mexico who knows all the cool places that only locals go to. This guide feels like your bff just came back from Mexico City and is encouraging you to travel there solo by telling you of all the great food, history, architecture, and people there. It is full of every bit of information one could possibly hope for and has great QR codes throughout in order to direct you to even more detailed info. Solo Girls Travel Guides are my favorite books for a reason: They are simply the most comprehensive guide you can purchase. Buy this guide and have an amazing adventure!

Yet again, a helpful and comforting guide for solo travelers!!
I don’t know how Alexa does it time and time again!! I like to solo travel but find comfort in doing research beforehand. As usual, Alexa really made me feel comfortable and less nervous about traveling to Mexico City. She really does incredible research for every book and the way it’s organized makes easy to navigate. So many good and useful tips and tricks. She writes in a way that feels like a good friend looking out for me! I’ve been on the fence on whether to make a trip out to Mexico City but now I am excited too! Added bonus, this time we get to also hear from her bestie, Emilia, who is a great co author for the book (also she is born and raised in Mexico!)Highly recommend to solo travelers or those traveling in groups. You won’t need another guidebook because you can trust in Alexa + Emilia!

    Fun Weekend Trips!
Don’t drink cheap tequila or buy other guides. Alexa not only gives you insider secrets on the best food, reasonable and best places to stay and tour, but also fancy places to stop in…like a bar or restaurant at the EXPENSIVE hotel. I love her Mexico playlist and even her earthquake tips (I mean who tells you that?) That’s just it. She makes me feel invincible and unafraid, so I can boldly see the world. Tips I should’ve, but never thought about. (Like take a photo of a guy’s ID you meet and send it to a friend/stay at your place instead of his until you know him better) Lastly, I love her effort to help the locals by shopping/eating local AND the tips on how to keep your tummy safe. (Avoid street fish tacos). She covers it all and then offers to talk to you personally. She has answered my questions via email/phone several times. She is VERY knowledgeable and she and Emily have definitely done their homework. I live in Bali, and when asked, “give me your suggestions”, I send them a photo of Alexa’s guide book! Her guides say all I would suggest as a local and MUCH more. I cannot wait for my next trip to Mexico City!

I used their recommendations for an adventurous yet SAFE solo female travel trip including where to stay, food tours, restaurants, where to get a wonderful facial and massage, and an overview of what to see. Now, with this guide, I am running to my phone to book travel plans to Mexico City! One of the many reasons I enjoy the book is you feel as if you are sitting at a bar with Alexa and Emilia and the two of them are giving you advice to help you plan a trip while we sip on margaritas. It is personable and really helps a solo female traveler feel confident in making plans. I am older than Alexa & Emilia (and married), but I found most of their recommendations worked for my age/lifestyle - I just skipped over the dating advice, etc. However, if I were younger and/or dating, their advice would be extremely helpful.Don't wait - click BUY!!
