Explore Cambodia

Cambodia is a land of contrasts. You’ve got mystical ancient temples in the north, one of the fastest-growing cities in the world nestled in the center, and a breathtaking collection of virgin beaches in the south. Beyond it's beauty, however, lies a complicated past.

  • This is AHHHMAZING advice for the female traveler is Southeast Asia.

I’m currently planning a solo trip to Cambodia this November, and Alexa’s advice in this easy-and-fun-to-read guide is invaluable! Having traveled to Thailand and Vietnam, I know these safety tips ring true for the region, and just really globally for that matter? 1) watch you stuff 2) watch your drink 3) don’t go down dark alleys by yourself 4) if you see someone being a sketchball, call them out. Many times all it takes is a a little b!tchface and an “I SEE YOU” to get people to bugger off. Super stoked to check out the lodging and dining recs, and ideas for off the beaten path adventures. Love that the author is supporting women taking solo adventures, and funny with the recommendations to boot.

  • All the questions? This book has all the answers!

Cambodia is an amazing country but I found it hard to navigate when I was there the first time. Upon wanting to give it another go I went in search of a book that could best suit my needs as a solo traveler and someone who gets a bit daunted by well....lots of things! This book lays out all the information you need to get there, have fun while you're there and explore new and interesting parts of Cambodia. I'm so stoked to go back armed with this book!

  • Better than Lovely Planet!

I bought this and the Lonely Planet guide to plan my Cambodia trip, and this book was waaaaaay more fun to read. It's well laid out, has all the important info you need, and the writing style is more accessible. Now I'm even more stoked for my trip than before!
